I stumbled upon several 6X6 paper pads at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago. I went a little crazy buying pads (a total of 6), but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to purchase some newer Studio Calico collections that I didn’t love…(liked, but not loved). For this layout I broke out the Lemon lush 6×6 pad and had some fun experimenting with the purples, greens and yellows from this line.

I had these purple THICKERS in my stash, since I so rarely use purple they were going unused. This was great opportunity to break them out. I mixed them with the pink THICKERS to make the title and mixed in some washi to tie the colors together.

I have a lovely collection of purple spray inks… so I broke out those and added splatters in various colors.

I painted some woodsy stars with ink and topped them off with STICKLes. I added some clusters of color with rhinestones and more THICKERS.

The Brights Have It

The Story

I hate neon…  If that didn’t come across clear enough, let me say it again…  I HATE NEON!!!  I grew up in the 80’s, with the late 80’s and 90’s being the prime era from which I  sprung forth, becoming a fully conscious human being… I remember Neon all too well.  From the hideous fashion choices we made in Jr. High to the photographic evidence of the nasty Neon in family photo albums.  I was none to impressed when Neon started showing up in fashion again a couple of years ago…. I was prepared to hate it with a passion.  Well, things change.  Recently I have been attracted to the brightest of the brights when it comes to scrapbook product and the following layouts showcase just that.

I used a couple of Project Life Mini kits, some Special Neon American Crafts products that can currently be found at Michaels, Studio Calico woodies and Hero Arts Neon Stamp Pads to embellish the following layouts.  I started going neon and I just could not stop.
