The Challenge
I have been trying so many new things with my scrapping lately, I decided to try one more: A multi prompt challenge. I came upon this challenge from Scrappy Friends while perusing the web last night
The first part of the challenge was to use this sketch:
April Sketch
The second part was to play Tic Tac Toe:
I intended to use the the first colum (Burlap, Triangle, Journal Card), but I must be awesome at Tic Tac Toe because the only square I missed was the center square!!!
I took a little creative liberty here and borrowed from a couple phrases for my title, “Easter Egg Hunt”.
This was a different process than my usual one and while I like the page, I am not sure I am in love with it.
The Product
All paper from Authentique Suave.
The Layout
The Details
I trimmed a card from the Jade Edition Project life kit and mounted it on navy cardstock and placed my title on it. I used a woodsy banner to cover a flag on the card and stapled a woodsy heart I painted with black enamel ink. I used scrabble letters to write out to word hunt, but I had no Ns left so I used a heart in its place. I added some burlap ribbon and a mess of twine. The “file” tab was created with the backside of the piece I cut from the PL card.
I added the last of the burlap twine under the center picture, placed a magenta flower over it (to match Calen’s Easter basker), a flair badge from October Afternoon, some more twine, and stapled another woodsy heart onto the page.
My Third grouping consisted of a word bubble cut from a PL card, another knot of twine and another heart stapled on.
I created my background by “stamping” with Distress Ink with the faded dot stencil that I love so much.
