Playing with Inks

The Story

I love the looks of inky pages.  I have also always loved playing with inks… but something has always stood between me going full out on a scrapbook layout with my inks.  I know a big part of it is my fear.  It seems like such a big commitment to permanently mar a layout with the unpredictability that inks bring.

As of last night, that fear is no more.  I pulled out the distress inks, the spray bottles, and the glimmer glaze and had a good time creating an artsy-fartsy background for a page about my artsy-fartsy niece .  I loved the look of layering the Tim Holtz stencils on top of each other.  ((Swoon)

  1. Spray inks (splattered not sprayed). Distress Ink applied with Foam applicator over a stencil. And this inky Stuff from Tattered Angels called Glimmer Glam in Oil Slick. It is a pretty nifty product.
