• I really love the vintage-y  papers that Echo Park makes (of course, I love everything Echo Park makes…), and For the Record was no exception.  After getting it home, however, I really worried about how I was going to use it with all my kiddo pages… Mixing this paper with some old embellishments from my stash (and when I say old, I mean OLD) really helped me create a neat page in which I could reflect on the relationship between Averie and Calen.

This was such an easy layout… So easy that it almost did itself.  I have had Smooch in my stash since last Christmas, but have only used it a few times (see “Sweet but Tough”).  For this layout I wanted the Smooch to really stand out.  I sprayed the Kraft cardstock and stripped the 6×6 Blast off Collection.  Sometimes simple is sweet!

Count me in among the masses that fell in love with Smashbooks!! I finally got my first one back in August and I have had a whole lot of fun adding little odds and ends to it.  Of course my favorite part of my “real” Smashbook has come from covering up the pre-designed  pages that I deemed “unsightly” and making my own pockets from paper scraps I had lying around.  I found a bunch of old Halloween pictures and embellishments as I was accumulating memorabilia and tags for my “real” smashbook and decided to create my own Halloween “smashbook” from the product I had lying around.
